Company Overview

The Symposium hopes to fill the void for a food writers conference and networking event in the Mid-Atlantic.

It is presented in a partnership with Real Richmond Food Tours' Susan Winiecki and Maureen Egan along with writer/historian Patrick Evans-Hylton. 

Real Richmond Food Tours offers authentic culinary and cultural tours in Richmond, stopping into several local eateries to sample something special and hear from the owners and chefs.

Principal Susan Winiecki is associate publisher of Richmond Magazine; principal Maureen Egan is a freelance writer whose writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor, Virginia Living, Richmond Magazine, R•Home, Troika, and other publications.

Patrick Evans-Hylton, an award-winning food journalist, is food editor of Coastal Virginia Magazine, executive editor for Virginia Wine Lover magazine, and reports on food and foodways on television and radio, as well as through social media.
